JOB DESCRIPTION: Lead Software Engineer in San Jose, CA (27205) Location San Jose, CA Employment: Permanent role or Contract to Hire Hybrid work Visa: H1B visa transfer Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers to complete large-scale as well as smaller projects according to pre-determined specifications and security requirements
- Work in a group responsible for creation of new applications, as well as enhancement and maintenance of existing ones
- Help troubleshoot issues reported in the production environments
- Determine viability of solutions by evaluating current problems future requirements and existing implementations
- 8+ years of prior software development experience
- 5+ years of proven record using Ruby, JavaScript and/or Python
- 5+ years of using Ruby on Rails (preferably, v5 and v6), NodeJS or comparable web framework (MVC architecture, REST APIS, security, integrations) and React for building modern dynamic web applications
- 3+ years of using cloud platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Heroku, Docker, Kubernetes
- Expert knowledge of version control, development methodologies, CI/CD workflows, proven record of working on projects with good test coverage and build automation
- Proven record of ability to learn new technologies and adjust to changing environments, break down complex requirements and efficiently prioritize tasks. proven record of building high-quality products under little to no supervision, and leading/mentoring a small group of junior developers
