Maxar is currently seeking a Manager of Quality Manufacturing to join our team in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will report into the Sr. Manager of Quality Control and will be responsible for leading an inspection team ensuring raw materials and manufactured hardware meet the specified quality standards and requirements. Primary Responsibilities:In this role, you will have organizational responsibilities including, but not limited to the following activities in Subsystems and Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) for the Quality Control Inspection team.- Manage day-to-day activities in support of individuals program needs and demands (Scheduling and Resource Management).
- Resolve issues during Subsystems and Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) phases of manufacturing.
- Mentor, train, and develop team members in new technical, project management and continuous improvement skills.
- Continuously improve the way we work through creating/updating processes, elimination of non-value added steps, and adapting to the needs of program type (CI&I).
- Support the monthly financial cycle to ensure the accuracy of demand and alignment with available resources.
- Ensure indirect and capital plans are in line with annual budget.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical engineering, physics, business, or related area. Four additional years of related experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 6 years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop direct reports.
- Limited travel to the other facility on a case by case basis
- 2+ years of managerial experience
- Background in Business Management or Process Improvement
- Excellent communication skills along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams.
