Job Title – DevOps Engineer – Principal

Location: San Jose, CA - Hybrid 3 times a week onsite

Length – Full Time Principle Software Engineer- DevOps We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is passionate about DevOps. DevOps uses automation extensively to achieve high efficiency in engineering operations. Be a part of a team that is creating new automations for the next generation of cloud products and enhancing existing automations to improve efficiency and productivity of engineering.

Job DescriptionCollaborate with and across Agile teams to gather requirements, design, develop, implement, test, and maintain technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologiesDesign, implement, document, and support CI/CD process automations for multiple productsPerform code and design reviewsTroubleshoot and resolve issues in the DevOps and development environmentsProvide support and enhance Engineering productivity as neededDocument procedures, processes to enable knowledge proliferationProvide technical trainings and mentor others

Qualifications7+ years of direct experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Tooling, Build, and/or Release.High proficiency to read, write, and debug automation scripts using one or more programming languages such as Python, Linux shell, Groovy, Perl, TCL or other relevant programming language.Extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline automation, branching strategies, software build systems, release processes, and engineering tools for software and SaaS products. Familiar with build processes such as Maven, npm, Make, Gradle, etc.Experience Maintaining GitLab, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory, SVN, Bugzilla and integration of tools for project management, defect tracking, static analysis, security vulnerability scanning, OSS licensing, etc.Experience with Linux OS administration, NFS, NIS, iSCSI, package management, and shell scriptingExperience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, KVM, or container management such as DockerExperience using Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or other orchestration tools

EducationBS Computer Science or Engineering + 12 years of experienceMS Computer Science or Engineering + 10 years of experience
