Job Description SummaryThe Sr Scientific Marketing Manager Program Manager will own the strategy, development and execution of scientific content needs that support the BD Biosciences portfolio of RUO and Clinical solutions. The incumbent will partner with global and regional marketing, R&D, Scientific and Medical Affairs and with the regions to develop critical proof points that support or create a value proposition for the BDB portfolio in the immunology and immune oncology spaces.The successful candidate must have a track record as a scientist that has made the transition to a commercial setting; someone who can help craft scientific stories to different audiences that position BDB as a thought leader in the space. You will effectively leverage internal resources, key opinion leaders and other support networks within a highly matrixed organization to drive and bring high-level sciences to initiatives that meet revenue growth and other key business objectives.Job DescriptionJob responsibilities

Drive, engage, enable, motivate, and partner with colleagues and customers on a scientific and operational basis to lead projects where a PhD level of scientific depth as well as domain expertise in immunology is useful.

Understand key market trends, barriers, customer insights, and competitive information to identify what customers need to see from a scientific content and data perspective to consider BDB solutions a fit for their workflows.

In collaboration with global marketing, develop segment positioning and value propositions representing the customer and the science in all internal forums.

Partner and collaborate with regional marketers and other cross-functional teams to optimize program development, roll out, training, and implementation with measured results

Communicate and drive alignment on priorities and key initiatives, direction, and messaging.

Actively collaborate with marketing counterparts, channel partners and global managers to strategize, design, develop, monitor & manage content needs for campaigns. Provide feedback and review/optimize scientific content when necessary.

Measure effectiveness of all the scientific content in the marketing activities in the business and regions with the expectation of pivoting proactively where needed.

Work in close collaboration with local commercial teams and ensure they are trained and equipped with segment-customized materials and tools

Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and keep abreast of scientific literature and trends to ensure BDB identifies and dries key trends where our solutions can enable discoveries for existing and new customers.

Ensure all our marketing materials are scientifically sound and are linked to key stages of the customer buying process.

Qualifications

PhD degree in Immunology, Biology or related field.

Deep understanding of experimental design using flow, single cell multiomics and other cell biology tools for immunology research and diagnostics.

Over 8 years of experience in scientific affairs, marketing or field applications roles.

Demonstrated success in a Life Science, diagnostics or medical device commercial role with comfort and familiarity managing complex messages to support sales process in academic, biotech, hospitals and pharma accounts.

Candidate should have a working knowledge in brand marketing, market/customer segmentation, value proposition development, competitive analysis, marketing communications, and digital and traditional Go-to-Market strategies.

Ability to rapidly absorb detailed product information and translate it into correct messaging to be used across all tactics.

Ability to work effectively on multiple projects with competing priorities.

Strong collaborator with the ability to work well within the department and cross-functionally and to solve for the “big picture.

Superb cross-functional, project management and leadership skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

Comfortable presenting technical scientific information to colleagues, scientists, sales teams, and executive audiences.

Energetic, self-motivated, creative, open-minded, curious, passionate and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Excited to travel globally approximately 25% of the time.
