Senior Staff Engineer, DevOps

Maxonic maintains a close and long-term relationship with our direct client. In support of their needs, we are looking for a

• Developing, Testing, Debugging, and Troubleshooting Containerized Infrastructure.
• Ensure solutions are well-engineered, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.
• Work with business and engineering partners to deploy new infrastructure for private cloud platforms.
• Monitor the availability, latency, and overall system health. On-call incident and change management.
• Willingness to enhance the team learning environment by providing and encouraging mentorship and technical leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical focus from an accredited institution; or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of related experience
• 5+ years of experience in managed K8s (EKS, OpenShift)
• 5+ years working with CI/CD (preferably with Jenkins)
• Automation experience with at least one configuration/deployment management system as Terraform, Cloud Formation, Chef (directly or via AWS OpsWorks), Salt, Ansible, or other such tools
• Demonstrated ability to work with and troubleshoot emerging technologies where documentation is incomplete or not available.
• Expert network knowledge with Juniper or Cisco-based switches and OpenStack configuration (SR-IOV, OVS-DPDK, VPP, OpenContrail, OpenDaylight)
• Ability to deploy and maintain K8s in bare-metal environments
• Author, customize, and deploy using Helm
• Code at a proficient level in either Python or Golang
