Location: San Jose, CA (remote till COVID-19) Type: 6 Month Contract (Can be extended) 2 Zoom Interviews Must Haves: Pure Storage (at least 2 years) NetApp previous experience GOOD Communication skills The Sr. Storage Engineer will be responsible for the management, maintenance, monitoring and rollout of the storage infrastructure with in all Clients data centers. Primary Responsibilities & Objectives: Experience on PURE storage systems required (at least 2 years of experience on PURe) Ensures the availability, reliability, scalability, and manageability of the data storage environment Works with key technical and business stakeholders to determine data and storage requirements and creates solutions to meet requirements Gathers requirements, designs, and implements solutions to meet customer's need related to SAN/NAS storage needs Provides Level 2/3 technical system expertise; Oversight and accountability for resolution of outages, service level issues, and user/customer support needs in coordination with Operations Support Manage capacity and performance of the Storage infrastructure ensuring high availability of all systems Proactively monitor, test, collect and analyze system performance statistical data to improve quality & ensure optimal performance of all Storage environments Create and maintain documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems, design, configuration, support and processes Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and bottleneck issues within a complex application & systems infrastructure Provide 24x7 on-call storage support for all storage platforms on a rotational basis Provides multi-level technical support in defining, developing and evaluating storage products to meet Cadence needs Provides recommendations to improve the storage infrastructure and address/lead critical issues and analysis Possesses in-depth knowledge of storage hardware and operating systems software Assists with recovery procedures & follow proper escalation procedures Participates in change control activities to ensure awareness of scheduled work Disclaimer: This is not an unsolicited mail.
