Job Description

Zscaler Digital Experience is a new offering from Zscaler which helps assure great user experience for our customers no matter where they are and what remote applications they access. We collect a lot of telemetry data from our agents which are deployed across millions of devices and from other vantage points in our cloud. This gives our customers unparalleled visibility enabling them to quickly root cause and resolve issues that may impact end user experience. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will own the quality and reliability of ZDX product and ensure timely releases with quality. You need be a top software QA and automation engineer with a good track record of delivering quality products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of the Cloud platform and services.
  • Solve problems and establish plans and provide technical consultation in the design, development and test effort of Zscaler engineering projects.
  • Create QA & automation strategy and drive the execution for the timely releases of new features & services with quality.
  • Identify issues and technical interdependencies and suggest possible solutions.
  • Lead, manage, mentor and grow a world class QA team.
  • Drive quality across all disciplines, providing guidance, feedback, and suggestions to improve quality practices across engineering organization.
  • Contribute to technical leadership and strategic direction to continuously improve the Quality and Reliability Engineering Organization.
  • Partner with customer facing groups such as PMs, SEs to better understand how customers interface and use our product to drive quality early and often in SDLC.
  • Training to cross-functional teams and training & mentoring the team members.
  • Help in troubleshooting production escalation issues & provide solutions to restore the service.
  • Identify cloud service monitoring requirements and provide SOPs for service alerts.
  • Lead a geographically distributed team in a fast-paced customer focused environment for the day to day execution.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering with core focus in large scale distributed systems or full stack SaaS services within Networking and/or data platform/services domain
  • 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership experience in quality engineering practices, test automation, CI/CD.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a trusted partner with cross-functional leaders, including PM, SE, OPS, documentation, etc. Be able to influence and change competing priorities into win-win scenarios with partner teams to ensure high-fidelity product releases.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge in Networking, Unix, Database system and query language.
  • Experience with cloud technology including Azure and/or AWS Data Services and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Data Engineering and Analytics is desirable.
  • Experience in Python programming.
  • Ability to quickly lean new technologies.
  • In-depth, comprehensive understanding of Test and Performance tools, as well as frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of standard quality best practices, techniques and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvements
  • Experience delivering quality software in a large distributed system with emphasis on functional and performance automation, workloads and testing.
  • Experience in building, running, and scaling geo-distributed teams; hiring, motivating , retaining, developing talented engineers, and ensuring the teams stay innovative.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
