Title: System Engineer / Server AdministratorLocation: Santa Ana, CA 92701Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Core services include the monitoring and maintenance of systems that support multiple Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and support for Microsoft Windows OS, SCCM, Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP, Red Hat Linux, Citrix, VMware, and Ivanti Software Solutions. Design, administration, and support for the agency systems; VMware, Windows Server OS, Linux, Microsoft Exchange servers, Office 365, Citrix, mobile device management, DFS, AD, DNS, DHCP, group policies, PowerShell, Windows and Linux Print Management. Install and understand Physical and Virtual servers, the configuration of hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Set up, configuration, management and maintenance of domain accounts, TCP and Internet Protocols associated with internet suites, systems/servers, desktop computers, network printers including security policy/access management and control. Knowledge of Firewalls, routers, switches, distributed virtual switches, virtually connects, and VPNs. Monitoring and reviewing of physical and virtual servers and other resources for integrity and anomalies and performance, and taking corrective actions to eliminate or minimize user impact. Daily review of system and application logs, and verification of completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Creation, provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance of SAN production storage. Ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization as required. Configuration of CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. Development and implementation of training and test plans. Preparation of technical systems documentation, user manuals and online help. Maintenance of virus protection protocols on all servers Windows and Linux. Participation in the development of requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), statements of works (SOWs), and in the evaluation of proposals. Ability and willingness to work after normal working hours for on-call and/or other maintenance activities as required. Assurance of data recoverability through system backups and disaster recovery processes. Creation of PowerShell scripts for automating tasks. Desirable Qualifications & Core Competencies: 5+ Years of Technical Knowledge and Experience are required in the following areas: - Administration of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager SCCM and Ivanti Endpoint Manager EPM, Ivanti Security Controls ISC, and Ivanti Service Manager ISM.
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems including Exchange email environment preferably clustered for versions 2016-19 hybridized with O365 Cloud email services.
- Experience in VMware Version 6.X/7 virtual host server environment.
- Experience managing a Citrix XenServer Farm environment version 7 or later.
- Hands-on proficiency and recent experience in supporting Red Hat Linux server environment
- Experience with Active Directory structure in the areas of server administration, login scripts, software deployment, group policy, DNS, and ADFS.
- Knowledge of Windows PowerShell scripting and DOS scripting.
- Hands-on experience in supporting mobile device management via MS Intune and Pulse Secure VPN.
