Our client is a leading ecommerce company. They are currently in urgent need of a Taxonomy designer. This is a long-term contract position. Responsibilities: Working in the fashion department and is passionate about taxonomy and ontology related research. Responds to information needs through implementation/modification of Category & Aspect Vocabulary (Taxonomy) tools and processes. Is comfortable executing on deliverables and reporting out status. Is open to interacting with remote teams on multiple projects involving large datasets. Is self-motivated, positive, analytical, detail-oriented & a quick learner who seeks to exceed expectations. Is curious, enjoying both the process of finding, & discovering, of the proverbial needle in a haystack. Proactively monitors trends in the Content Management industry, including: process, technology and culture. Continuously and proactively researches, identifies, captures, understands and brings to best practices, standards, tools, methodologies and capabilities. Is a team player: that includes also being flexible to move across different areas beyond the comfort zone when needed. Required experience: Background in ecommerce. Experience in Fashion (Jewelry or handbags), Sporting Goods Preferred. Technical - knows excel, gsheet, SQL (nice to have). BA or BS degree, or equivalent experience, in Library and Information Science, Data Science, or the equivalent, in work experience.
