- You will contribute to the design & development of various software modules for the PHY, MAC, & RF of various WLAN chipsets
- Design and develop software to build and scale Samsung’s Wireless Connectivity solutions
- Work with WLAN chipsets, devices, and protocols, including other networking devices
- Collaborate with wider teams to automate processes, build software infrastructure tools & applications, build and maintain production-quality software/firmware
- Responsible for achieving the highest levels of quality and help achieve the KPI’s/goals set for power, performance, system latencies, etc
- Work on various protocols involved in 802.11 MAC.
- Ph.D., MS + 2-3 years in EE or CS, minimum BS + 4-5 years in EE
- Strong background in the implementation of WLAN (or 802.11) MAC protocols and framework, interfacing with various MAC, BT/WAN Co-Existence, Power Management, and Host interface modules in HW
- Excellent coding skills in C/C
- WLAN/BT standards, domain knowledge of Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11) MAC protocols, and Firmware
- Understanding of the Linux Operating System, kernel, and device driver development
- Ability to debug issues with low-level embedded software, custom/proprietary code, and enhancements
- Familiarity with WLAN/BT standards and protocols
- Embedded software design and development in Linux and/or other RTOS environments.
