What You'll Do

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented professional to join our legal services team. We want to transform how we communicate both internally and with our partners and customers. You will lead the way by working closely with colleagues at all levels within Cisco Legal Services to help us shape and communicate our legal innovation story while engaging deeply with a rapidly changing industry.

This role involves coordinating and delivering news and information across the range of projects and services delivered by Cisco's legal team. You will lead the design and execution of a communications strategy and plan that will help us align internally and engage effectively. You will lead communications with employees and external stakeholders to share key stories and gather actionable feedback. You will execute down to the finest detail with a sharp eye for finding the best words and visuals to get messages across clearly and succinctly.

This position is located at the Cisco headquarters in San Jose, California. Who You Are

Internally you will ensure that employees are aware of important news, programs, and projects within the department. You will help craft and share messages from across the organization, design and prepare presentations and collateral, and conduct training sessions and meetings to share information. In addition, you will assist with training and educating team members regarding communications and design principles.

A knowledge of legal services operations and technology is a plus, but what matters most is your curiosity and effectiveness at synthesizing information to find the heart of a story and tell it well. Responsibilities include: Work with leadership and stakeholders to set communications goals, strategy, priorities, and plans Design and deliver coordinated multi-channel communications projects to drive employee understanding and engagement Define and execute strategic and tactical communications initiatives with clear and measurable performance metrics With a keen eye for detail and accuracy, draft a wide variety of communications materials for internal and external audiences Provide rapid service and support for communications requests from Legal Services leadership and teams Be a source of expertise and effective mentorship for colleagues as they develop communications materials and programs Research, discover, and implement standard methodologies in communication methods and technology use Minimum Qualifications: Exceptional listening skills Superior writing and proofreading skills Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Solid visual design training and an eye for good design. Photography and video skills are a plus 3+ years experience in brand management, communications, marketing, public relations (PR firm or marketing team within an enterprise-sized company), or social media Experience developing and packaging content, and creating and managing messaging operations Fluency in graphics and communications applications including Adobe Creative Cloud suite and PowerPoint. Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus. Working knowledge of internal collaboration tools such as Office365 and casual publishing/web tools and content management systems Demonstrated ability to employ standard project management methods in order to move projects forward by gaining support from others Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced and dynamic enterprise while successfully managing multiple deadlines Experience with law firms/in-house legal organizations is a plus but not required Bachelors of Arts or Bachelors of Science Why Cisco
