Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Big Data Engineer (Hadoop/Spark/SQL) for a contractassignment with one of our premier Software clients. Open to 2 locations: San Jose, CA or Seattle, WA. This is not a remote position. No c2c, No agencies. w2 only. Responsibilities :

  • Write complex SQL queries that help identify and measure the non-genuine software base
  • Apply business logic to determine categorize the non-genuine base into opportunities
  • Use Big Data best practices to help scale the piracy conversion program
  • Create dashboards in Tableau
  • Apply statistical methodologies and data mining skill sets on large volume of data
  • Analyze data and provide insights to senior executives
Required Skills:
  • 6-9 years of relevant experience
  • SQL expertise
  • Hadoop expertise
  • Spark is mandatory (preferably PySpark)
  • Create dashboards in Tableau and Modelling in Excel
  • Power Pivot expertise a must
  • Understanding of statistics concepts
  • Ability to interpret data and present
