Software Engineer

Program Goal:Accelerate development and support of legacy platform to protect existing revenue stream, until similar features and functionality can be implemented in the next-gen platform

Requirements:
    • Strong Sysadmin experience on Linux based systems
    • Deep understanding of networking protocols (i.e. SSH, SNMP, WMI, HTTP) and topologies
    • Strong relational database experience (e.g. MySQL) and SQL constructs
    • Excellent knowledge of Perl (preferred) or Python
    • Understanding of SOAP and REST API and JSON interfaces, Service-oriented Architecture, and API development
    • Familiarity with AWS is a plus
    • Understanding of software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, testing methodologies, and deployment.
    • Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
    • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant data and information.
    • Timely updates on assigned tasks
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Strong quality orientation and customer focus.
    • Willing to learn and work with new technologies; must be flexible in approach.

Job Responsibilities:
    • Research, Analyse, Design, implement, review and test software applications
    • Provide regular feedback to the core team on what’s working, what needs improvement
    • Participate in code reviews
    • Provide regular updates on progress and delays encountered during development
    • Support and troubleshoot specific integrations that aren’t working for customers
