The Sr. Director of Finance works with Speck?s President, Senior Management team and Samsonite?s CFO, Americas to improve business sales/EBIT performance along with working capital and the control of capital expenditures. This highly-visible role will cultivate strategic partnerships across the organization, possess superior analytical and problem solving skills, drive strategic and financial thought leadership and successfully manage daily operations of Speck?s Finance team.Responsibilities:

Work closely with Executive Management to lead the $150M business that is rapidly expanding to more than double our growth in the coming years.

Provide critical financial information, opinion, and analysis to support and execute strategic plans and decisions.

Make decisions with limited guidance, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization.

Provide accurate budget, forecast, and planning data on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Ensure accurate monthly close. Analyze key P&L and balance sheet accounts. Ensure timely delivery of financial statements working with Shared Services in Mansfield, MA (Samsonite home office).

Create effective performance metrics to drive accountability and ownership within the corporate departments and business units.

Consistently improve internal controls, system integrity, internal reporting, and all other processes.

Manage a Finance team with a strong sense of urgency and a focus on adding value to the business.

Margin control and analysis, sales allowance and budget control, inventory control and analysis.

Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by Senior Management and Corporate Finance.

Coach and develop the finance team to ensure the highest level of effectiveness and continued skill growth enabling strong partnership.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting required, CPA or MBA preferred.

Minimum of 10-15 years of Finance/Accounting and Management experience in wholesale, consumer electronics, apparel, and consumer packaged goods or related industries.

Previous successful Controller experience is preferred.

Strong analyst experience; budget process; forecast; business decision supporter and business partner.

Strong experience related to wholesale inventory management, accounting, and cost control.

Experience with a complex financial systems (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with business leaders in global and regional functions

Experience serving in matrix reporting structure preferred.

Skilled in problem solving, analysis, and decision making.

Show adaptability, flexibility, and resilience.

Performance management and employee development.

Approximately 15% travel required.
