Position Overview:The PT Aide II is responsible for assisting with physical

therapy modalities such as the application of ultrasound, electrical

stimulation and heat/ice, as directed. They need to have a good understanding

of therapy concepts and therapeutic exercises and be able to accurately

instruct patients in their therapy program under the supervision of a physical

therapist. They should understand exercise progression and the various

responses to exercise. They must be able to communicate clearly and directly

with patients and be able to explain the therapy concepts being administered

during the treatment. They must be able to navigate EPIC and review clinical documentation

so they can determine where an Aide assist is needed. They must be able to work

closely with physical therapists, but also work independently and be pro-active

in completing the Aide II duties in regards to cleaning, stocking supplies,

documenting on logs and ensuring the department is compliant with infection

control, health and safety.Qualifications:College degree in similar field, such as

kinesiology, exercise physiology, sports medicine, etc., preferred, but will

consider candidate with strong interest/experience in outpatient therapies.
