Project Manager - Information Security GDPR/ISO 27001

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience leading projects with security and compliance needs in technology environments. Prior experience with GDPR and ISO 27001 is a plus. Location Note: The team is currently working remotely due to COVID-19 and will be located on-site once health precautions are lifted. Candidates must be located in the San Mateo - Foster City commuting area for consideration. Job Type: These positions are W2 consulting opportunities with hourly rate and no benefits. Role and responsibilities include:- Managing information security projects, providing guidance and support to team members, and ensuring that goals are completed as specified
- Participating in operational meetings and conveying relevant status information for stakeholders
- Tracking project milestones and interdependencies to facilitate successful outcomes
- Addressing project level issues and confirming that progress is in line with performance targets
- Overseeing all aspects of security tool implementation and solutions
- Verifying that project exit criteria has been met, budget has been adhered to, and that resources have been utilized efficiently
- U.S. citizen or Green Card Holder (sponsorship is not available for these positions)
- Currently located within commuting range and availability to work on-site after COVID-19 health restrictions are lifted
- 3+ years of related experience leading projects that support technical solutions across multiple teams while developing cross-organization relationships and collaborating with stakeholders
- Expertise in information security regulations such as FISMA, HIPAA, and PCI
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- Project management experience across functional areas including PCI/Compliance/SOX, Data Security, Cyber Risk Management, ISRM operations, Security Architecture, Security Hygiene, Incident Response
- Extensive knowledge of project management techniques and ability to deliver customer value
- Proven history of leading projects that support technical solutions across multiple teams while developing cross-organization relationships and collaborating with stakeholders
- Current knowledge of technology trends and best practices
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a collaborative environment
