Essential Job Functions:We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can consistently exceed our expectations with poise, transparency, and professionalism. We are looking for a Quality Control Specialist to provide support to the Quality Department by overseeing, coordinating and evaluating day-to-day progress towards QC department goals and deliverables. Conducts qualitative and quantitative quality-related analysis to measure past performance, gain insight and drive process improvement. Assist with compliance activities for all certifications.Responsibilities:

Coordinates activities with QC Technicians and Inspectors; provides QC support & monitoring as necessary.

Maintains QC procedures, specifications, and testing methods for raw material, bulk product, and finished good.

Participates in multi-site QC projects in the role of contributor, coordinator or lead.

Enforce current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) throughout manufacturing.

Responsible to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the QC lab.

Coordinates with service providers to ensure laboratory instruments are properly maintained.

Ensure lab supplies are adequately stocked.

Performs and/or initiates microbiological and assay testing and documentation.

Perform QC release testing on incoming raw materials, in-process materials, compounding bulk, and finished goods.

Approves product lots for packaging and finished products for shipment.

Performs Production line inspections and Compounding Batch process inspections.

Investigates and report quality issues to management and/or the manufacturing team.

Maintains SDS binder system.

Performs environmental testing (e.g. ATP swab).

Other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.

Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment, with frequent visits to the warehouse and production floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.Minimum Qualifications:

A college degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or related experience in Quality or Manufacturing field.

2+ years of related work experience in Quality or Manufacturing.

Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management. A positive proactive approach to drive projects/tasks to completion.

Intermediate computer skills (Word & Excel)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must have attention to detail

Cosmetic, food or related industry experience preferred
