DescriptionAccountemps currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Construction/Contractor field. This Accounting Clerk position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of International Construction Company. Located in San Ramon, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary position. Career growth and quick advancement makes this department a desirable place to work. The Accounts Payable Clerk duties will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.Key responsibilities
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Perform special projects as assigned
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Manage full-cycle A/P
Provide support during internal and external audits
Requirements
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
