JOB REQUISITIONDevOps Engineer ILOCATIONSAN RAMONJOB DESCRIPTIONJob Description:The DevOps Engineer I will analyze, design, build, configure, validate, maintain and troubleshoot existing and new application environments. You will evaluate software and hardware products as needed. Completes ORD, disaster recovery, configuration, validation and other documentation as needed.
Proactively maintains environments to ensure maximum up time.
Proactively monitors application availability and performance
Troubleshoots small to medium complexity environment issues and recommends/performs mitigation steps
Oversees Health Checks
24/7 on call for environment issues including planned and unplanned outages
Performs software upgrades
Partners with Security Analysts, system engineers, DBA's, and vendors to patch Windows & Linux
Patch software and applications as needed
Documents environment architecture, setup, and maintenance including failover, disaster recovery, etc.
Maintains documentation on all licensed software used by the team
Refreshes current environments and creates new scripts as needed
Proactively partners with EIS to review risks, impacts, and mitigations, including follow up with vendors as needed to remediate risks
Qualifications:
BS in Technical Related Field or/ 2+ years experience in server engineering or software development role in a corporate environment.
Cloud hosting solutions
Familiarity with hosting solutions from vendors such as Amazon, Microsoft and/or IBM.
Familiarity with cloud application hosting solutions in terms of templates, infrastructure/application scripting, and operationalizing applications in the cloud.
