This includes ensuring that all compliance requirements are known, there are documented processes, and that evidence of compliance exists. The department is the primary liaison with the CPUC for audits, data requests, customer complaints, and emergency reporting of electric incidents. The department’s QA group provides an independent assessment of performance measured against policy, standards & procedures.Position SummaryThe Compliance Data Analyst researches, links to, and refines sources of information throughout the company to support the audit process, to maintain database(s) of audit findings and corrective actions, and develop reports of findings, work methods, commitments, corrective actions and other related utility information. This position also analyzes performance, identifies trends, monitors compliance with audits and identifies issues. The position may design and implement systems to collect, organize, transfer, and report data from various internal and external sources, including enterprise sources of Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Document Management, Safety, Corrective Action, and Finance information.Job Responsibilities
Lead the team’s handling of electric audits performed by SED, from pre-audit, during audit, post audit data requests, through audit letter response to the SED.
Coordinate teams of subject matter experts and facilitate discussions for responding to CPUC Notice of Violations and CPUC Audit responses. Lead the response preparation when needed.
Assist in extracting and compiling CPUC Audit Data and CPUC Notice of Violation Data on a monthly basis for addition into EO Risk & Compliance Committee (RCC) deck.
Lead and support Electric Operations CPUC Self-Report Process, including identification of issues that may meet self-report thresholds, research potential incidents, lead Self-Report quorum, and make recommendations to senior management for self-reporting.
Coordinate with appropriate LOBs to address escalated CPUC Customer Complaints through resolution.
Regular and ongoing verbal and written interaction with the SED staff.
Helping ensure overall compliance with RISK-6305P-01, “Electric Incident Reporting On-Call Representative
Procedures” and attachments. Identify and implement improvement opportunities in the electric incident reporting program.
Respond to questions during On-Call rotations and provide guidance to the EIR On-Call representatives consistent with the procedure and the CPUC electric incident reporting requirements.
Lead and support Guidance Document creation, updates for the department work functions (Standards,
Procedures, job aids, process flows).
Lead and support process improvements, workflows and documentation to support.
Partner with Corporate Relations, Law Claims, Safety Teams, and Electric Operations to ensure understanding and coordination of EIR reporting requirements.
Prepare reports for ad hoc requests from senior management, law department, external communications, safety engineering, law claims, and other departments. Analyze results and draw conclusions.
Travel required up to 20% of the time
QualificationsMinimum:
High School Diploma or GED
Seven (7) years of experience in compliance, law, accounting or project management including some experience in a project leadership role managing multiple and complex projects
Desired:
Bachelor’s Degree (Policy, Accounting or any other related field preferred) or equivalent experience
Master’s Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
PE-Professional Engineer license
Demonstrated experience facilitating process improvement efforts, Lean Six Sigma experience
CISSP-Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification
PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
NERC-North American Electric Reliability Corporation System Operator certification
