Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E’s electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.Position SummaryThe Business Analyst will be responsible for documenting requirements for the MP&P Business Technology Tools. The position is a critical role in documenting the technical changes in the systems to support new projects, enhancements and major defect changes. Working across multiple business partners eliciting requirements and driving stakeholder buy-in and user adoption. Working closely with the PDS team to align with the governance processes. This position will focus on Unifier, ProjectWise and Heavy Bid tools, and any future tools that may be implemented to support MP&P efforts.Job Responsibilities

Drive identification of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data

Partner with other stakeholder teams across business units (i.e., Contract Management, Project Management, Portfolio Management, IT finance, compliance, etc) to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way.

Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis

Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation

Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners

May act as Scrum Master on smaller scale projects

May act as Project Manager and lead efforts on single thread projects

QualificationsMinimum:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

Job-related experience, 7 years

5+ years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity

Proven analytical abilities

Practical experience generating functional and technical documentation

Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

Desired:

PMP or PBA Certification

Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio

Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Unifier, ProjectWise would be a plus

Proven development of innovative and impactful continual process improvement

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Superior presentation and negotiation skills

Agile experience

Project Management experience

Traditional Waterfall
