Job Title: Lead Data Engineer Location: Omaha, NE / Tempe, AZ / San Ramon, CA (Remote till covid 2 months) Once remote over, the candidate has to go on-site, so choose any one of the locations Essential Job Functions:
- Data ingestion from different data sources exposes data using different technologies
- Data processing/transformation using various technologies. You will need to understand your part of business logic and implement it using the language supported by the base data platform
- Ensure data and results are accessible, scalable, efficient, accurate, complete and flexible
- Advises in the implementation of business line's data analytics strategy. This may include recommending and developing of related programs for the business line.
- Acquire, compile and report data from several Bank data sources usually using SQL
- Leads the research, design, development, testing, retrieval, and data reporting; utilizing the knowledge of various software packages.
- Develop automated data quality check to make sure right data enters the platform and verifying the results of the calculations
- Define process improvement opportunities to optimize data collection, insights and displays.
- Advises on the resolution of complex analytical and data integrity problems while prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Identifies business, technology, and process improvement opportunities. This may include making recommendations to business line leaders.
- Serves as Business Line's "analytic review" function to ensure the uniformity and quality of analytical tools and reports are delivered consistently to business partners.
- Proficient at developing queries, writing reports and presenting findings
- Mentor junior members and bring best industry practices
- 8+ years' experience as data lead/Data engineer in banking or equivalent industry
- 2+ years of Lead Experience is required.
- Commercial Lending experience required
- Strong background in math, statistics, computer science, data science or related discipline
- Advanced knowledge one of language: Java, Scala, Python, C#
- Proficient with Data mining/programming tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python)
- Experience in Agile Dev Ops
- Business acumen with ability to become trusted advisor to business partners
- Demonstrated experience with Java and or Java Script
- Well versed with integrations and use of streaming APIs
- Understanding of enterprise platform like Event Hub, Data Hub and Communication Hubs
- Proficient in Relational and Non-Relational databases
- Be a technical subject matter expert and own technical delivery, working a solution from design through integration, testing and implementation.
- Ability to self-motivate, self-start, and a desire to work independently
- Strong attention to detail. Detail oriented with the ability to understand the broad context.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a dynamic team
- Good management and control of work flows to produce deliverables within required timeframes and quality standards.
