Marketing Quality Assurance Analyst III

JOB REQUISITIONMarketing Quality Assurance Analyst IIILOCATIONSAN RAMONJOB DESCRIPTIONRobert Half is seeking a Marketing Quality Assurance Analyst III to define quality standards for Web, Email, SMS/Push notification products to ensure that we are serving users a product that meets their needs. Create and execute test plans and use cases to ensure our products meet our quality standards and fulfil the business requirements. Triage problems that are found in production and ticket the issues. Work across multiple internal teams to ensure smooth launches of new features and updates to our platforms.Specific responsibilities include:

Execute Test Cases and Perform Validation Tasks

Work with MarTech's Enablement Team to verify email styling, content and journeys in Marketing Cloud

Work with MarTech's Enablement Team to verify SMS and push notification journeys

Work wih ITMCC and SFCC teams to verify complex changes in pre-production

Assist in release triage and verification with other Marketing stakeholders, including data cleanup.

Maintain Test Cases and Test Environment

Troubleshoot issues that occur with testing environments.

Update manual/automated test cases as needed.

Audit existing test cases and test data monthly to prevent out of date/stale tests.

Approve changes to test cases/environment made by junior QA team members

Create and maintain user data for new features for validation for Marketing stakeholders

Gather requirements and prepare test strategy

Understand the requirements for projects they are working on and the dependencies of the project.

Work with junior team members to perform risk assessment, time estimates of test strategy for their projects

Create and design test plans/cases for their projects (including but not limited to: requirement maps, happy path/failure paths, expected results, user data, risk assessment, time assessment)

Participate in Meetings and Prepare Reports

Actively participate in or lead meetings with various stakeholders

Provide real-time updates to projects QA is working on.

Ask questions to help narrow down project requirements

Provide weekly reports to management (test cases executed, time spent, errors found in production etc.)

Triage and verify reported issues with the product

Use domain expertise to try to narrow down root cause of the issues.

Identify what test coverage we need in place to not run into reported errors again.

Work with Enablement Team to help them reproduce errors with email journeys and automations

Keep an eye on alerts from third party vendors re: outages.

Identify areas for improvement in existing process

Keeps up to date on new tools and best practices, communicates interesting finds to team members

Collect data points for existing test procedures to determine their validity.

Help design Proof of Concepts for new process improvements

Mentor junior members on proper test strategy, research and best practices

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience

4+ years product testing and verification or related experience required

Advanced experience with software test planning, execution and validation, including expertise with various testing tools and methods (SQL, Robot Framework, QTest, Jira, ServiceNow)

Advanced experience in test environment managements, test collaboration, tools selection and implementation in a medium to large company with a global environment.

Advanced knowledge of business process and data flow identification and documentation.

Knowledge of a specific application/technology and advanced understanding of hardware architectures.

Experience with scripting preferred.

Experienced with industry standard code review practices. Experience managing testing in multiple Cloud (AWS preferred) based environments

Advanced knowledge of the overall application development life cycle. Agile preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to gather and synthesize requirements effectively; document requirements and confirm observations with product development and business owners

Facilitate, conduct meetings, gather information, and present status
