This role will have access to management fromour Lines of Business, Finance and Treasury areas.Essential Job Functions

Develop

and implement strategies designed to improve BoW’s Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk(particular focus) and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) frameworks, methodologies,reporting and communications with our business partners.

Steer

our five lines of business through Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk (particularfocus) and FTP concepts to help them maximize the value of the loans anddeposits gathered for the Bank. Conceptsinclude pricing discussions, loan/deposit characteristics that impact ouroverall liquidity and interest rate risk profiles and understanding the impactto LOB financials due to changes to any of the underlying methodologies.

Communicate,

implement and execute Interest Rate Risk actions/changes to ensure thesestrategies are correctly implemented into Treasury’s Interest Rate Risk andLiquidity Metrics and reports.

Assess

impacts of market conditions and interest rate changes on Liquidity, InterestRate Risk and FTP, with communications to LOB’s.

Provide

and present Steering and Strategy related topics to ALCO and relevantSub-Committees as needed.

Implement

process improvements, consistency, governance, controls and oversight.

Oversee

Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk and FTP documentation updates (including ourFramework documents and Committee Charters).

Support

specific strategic initiatives and projects that promote the implementation ofBOW’s long-term strategy with a focus on Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk and FTPtopics.QualificationsQualificationsRequired Experience

A desire to work in a fast pace environment with a dedicated commitment to excellence.

A minimum of 12 years working experience related to Treasury activities with an understanding of the Balance Sheet (loans, deposits, etc), general market rates (LIBOR, Swaps, Treasuries, etc.), interest rate risk management, liquidity management, client pricing, and FTP background, etc.

Strong communications and presentation skills. Role will involve interaction with executive management regarding key changes that will impact LOB profitability.

An ability to work as a team player, accept substantial individual responsibility and proactively create value for the team.

Education

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Financial Engineering (or other quantitative discipline combined with commensurate experience.)

Skills

Able to meet deadlines.

At least 12 years of experience with fixed income analytics, capital markets, engineering, modeling, planning and forecasting.

Knowledge of Bank of the West balance sheet dynamics is desirable.

Ability to analyze large datasets with SAS or SQL.
