Our major job responsibilities include build, support and maintain 24x7 Platform cloud operations infrastructure in 15 global data centers across the globeEXPECTATIONS AND TASKSThe Senior Patch Management Engineer is a subject matter expert that has global accountability for the automating and patching our Global infrastructure which is running on Windows and SUSE Linux platforms running in environments like Public cloud, Private cloud and VMWare. This person must be a patching technology expert who can operate and continuously improve, standardize, and automate tasks in environments distributed across datacenters throughout the world. This engineer should possess the ability perform audits using Microsoft toolkits and other native tools to identify security risks in our windows and Linux environments. They should be able to articulate technical problems to management and work well in a team and in cooperation with other teams. They will be working in a fast-paced environment that will require travel within and outside of the US a few times a year.Duties will include:
Comprehensive understanding of Vulnerability Management methodologies and procedures, application and infrastructure vulnerability management solutions
Experience Patch Management & Patch Automation
Experience with Patching tools like WSUS, BladeLogic or Suse Manager / RHEL satellite
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux and Windows server in a networked environment.
Experience with tools like Splunk or Elastic search
Good understanding of Public Clouds, Containers and Kubernetes
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
Understanding of virtualization and global infrastructure, load balancing, networking, security and operations
Experience with tools like Splunk, Jira, ServiceNow, GIT, Jenkins, etc
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS5 years of hands-on experience with Windows, Linux & patching experience using tools with a thorough understanding of infrastructure vulnerability management solutions and troubleshooting.
Understands how to patch and document Windows, Linux environments. Public Clouds, Containers and Kubernetes at various skill levels.
Must possess proven experience working in an enterprise distributed computing environment with standards, and processes. These experiences should include:
Technical infrastructure architect/design/support for Windows Server operating systems and a Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology
