Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.Position SummaryAs a liaison between the work stream manager and other leadership throughout the organization, this role provides planning, strategic analysis, and operational support. Facilitates, directs, and coordinates activities and special projects related to the operations of the work stream. Solves problems, mediates disputes, and addresses issues before they are escalated to the manager. Builds effective partnerships and promotes collaborative relationships throughout the organization. Measures and analyzes performance and supports process improvement and lean managementResponsibilitiesPartnering with the Governance and Business Technology group in Electric Operations Major Projects and Programs and often IT, this person would be responsible for organizing and facilitating process and technology improvement efforts in support of the contracting lifecycle. This role would be reporting to the Governance and Reporting Supervisor.

Facilitate meetings and Scrum ceremonies

Participate in release planning

Coaching the team in use of Agile techniques

Promotes continuous improvement methods

Shields the team from outside interruptions and obstacles

Plays lead role in resolving impediments

Help team to create visual reporting (burn down, Kanban, task boards)

Help the team to evolve their Scrum tools

Help the team in communication with leadership

Facilitates standups, planning, reviews and retrospectives

QualificationsMinimum

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

5 years of gas or related industry

Desired

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent

8 years of progressively responsible experience in gas or related industry

Capital or expense program management experience

Experience in electric industry, or related, 5 years

Competency in relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people

Competency in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives

Competency in securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently

Ability to apply project management theories, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job level

Competency in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals

Ability to work independently and part of a team

Ability to keep pace and contribute to a high performing team

Self-Starter

Advanced problem-solving skills

Familiarity with utility operations
