Join one of America's leading financial services companies and a Fortune 500 Company. Mission: As a DevOps/Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will be embarking on a transformation to and in the Cloud. As a member of our Foundational and Core Services Enablement team, you will work alongside architects and DevOps engineers to facilitate a swift adoption of Cloud technologies, mature patterns to drive greater efficiencies and automation as well as assist development teams through a transformational journey. We are using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code (IAC) and have created modular templates with advanced bootstrapping (using PowerShell) for build and deployment orchestration to transform base AMI's for their zone-specific purpose. Auto-scaling groups alongside CloudWatch and health checks are leveraged to treat servers as cattle and not pets. We are subject to the highest information security guidelines and presently leveraging AWS KMS and Secrets Manager for credential, token and secrets management. Lambdas (.Net and NodeJS) are used whenever possible to fulfill key functions and orchestrate supporting workloads such as key rotation, data acquisition/migration jobs, etc. Advanced telemetry is a foundational necessity for our suite of applications and we are aggressively maturing our proactive monitoring practice using a collection of tools (Grafana, CW, Splunk, Uptrends) and risk-based alerting (email, SMS, push notifications) with a push toward creating self-healing infrastructure. An ideal candidate will be obsessed with automating everything, be an outside-the-box thinker and possess the ability to both design and implement with high proficiency and quality. Must have the ability to gain support for your ideas, collaborate with peers to gain consensus around an idea or problem, be creative with an attention to detail, possess demonstrated experience applying chaos theory to applied solutions and one who instinctively recognizes the delicate balance of risk, complexity and extensibility. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: + Advancement of foundational and core services infrastructure to support suite of applications and comply with industry regulations and information security requirements + Demonstration and lead development of CI/CD and DevOps best practices and compliance for application release and deployment through leading other various team members + Responsible for delivery of cloud platform and application technology solutions and data information planning effort. + Demonstrate and lead development of key DevOps patterns like Infrastructure-as-Code principles + Be able to articulate advanced multiple cloud environment infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Network, Backups, DR, and Monitoring) + Performs technical design reviews and code reviews, to include cloud-based architecture and integrations + Interface with outside partners to drive specifications, ensure adherence and facilitate integration into our ecosystem + Create and review technical and/or functional specifications for development efforts and oversee the end-to-end successful execution of those specifications + Lead and influence cross functional teams (application, platform, security, data, operations, infrastructure) through transformative changes + Ensure documents (e.g. Runbooks) for Ops and drive architectural best practices on AWS Requirements: + Demonstrates maturity and expertise in AWS Cloud technologies with experience using IAC + Extensive scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell and Terraform (or some combination) + Experience with CI/CD implementing blue/green and AMI bakery + .NET and NodeJS lambda programming experience preferred + Working knowledge of IAM, logging and network security in AWS Qualifications: + Executes effective interpersonal skills, team-work attitude, and drive collaborative initiatives + Requires an BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training + 3-4 years hands-on experience with AWS or cloud platforms + 4 or more years multi-platform, multi database and/or multi language experience + 2-3 years supporting 24/7 external-facing applications in fast-paced environment + AWS certified Solution Architect Professional required + 2-4 years architecting DevOps-based CI/CD deployment pipelines required + 1-3 years Terraform experience required + 1-3 years hands-on experience in software development experience preferred + 2-3 years of experience with Source Code Management and branching usage required + 1-3 years of experience with Event-driven, Micro-services, and Serverless development patterns in the Public Cloud (AWS preferred) + Experience providing troubleshooting support + Off hours availability #techreferral #LI-CG2 First American invests in its employees' development and well-being, empowers them to provide superior customer service and encourages them to serve the communities where they live and work.
