Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer

Summary

At First American Trust, we are working on new technologies supporting banking and investment industry. We are looking for someone eager to collaborate with our team! We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience in Azure platform to help us build, develop, and manage our Azure middleware for a wide range of applications. The ideal candidate will work directly with development teams to build and automate highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure. You will work together with development teams to implement automation solutions using technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab to automatically build, test, integrate and deploy applications. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key part of the software development teams and responsible for software/platform infrastructure deployment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, monitor and maintain Azure infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers to build Azure middleware infrastructure.
  • Manage Azure cloud-based infrastructure that powers our applications.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Implement and support CI/CD infrastructure utilizing GitLab, containers and Kubernetes.
  • Keep current on advances in Cloud and integrate them where appropriate.
  • Follow industry best practices.
  • Independently define and prioritize individual goals and tasks as part of an agile development process.
  • Work comfortably within small teams in a corporate environment that requires regular communication with other teams to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
  • Perform other duties as designed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • 2+ year of DevOps experience in cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of Azure Service Bus, Azure APIM, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault and learn Azure services quickly.
  • Azure experience: 1+ years DevOps design and implementation experience on Microsoft Azure.
  • 1-3 years' experience in software development, at least one year experience on Python, Ruby, C# etc.
  • 1+ year experience on containerization and pipeline administration experience within Docker and Kubernetes.
  • At least 3 year experience utilizing CI/CD tools.
  • Hands-on experience on implementing Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience on Docker.
  • Experience and solid understanding to deploy and maintain container orchestration platforms such as AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery.
  • A high level of intellectual curiosity and general professionalism is necessary.
  • Experience of SCRUM/Agile experience is a plus. #Dice
