Desktop Support Engineer Location; Santa Ana, CA - Hybrid JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for managing and maintaining standards and security for user endpoints in our client s environment including laptops, desktops, virtual desktops, printers, scanners, and MFPs. Provides advanced technical assistance to Service Desk technicians to resolve software and hardware-related problems on endpoint computers and peripherals. In charge of vulnerability management on all endpoints including performing monthly patch cycles and remediating reported vulnerabilities. Completes routine tasks and participates in special department projects as necessary. Performs all duties in accordance with the company s policies and procedures, as wells as all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations wherein the company operates.

  • Manages the deployment of monthly patches to all endpoints and reports daily on status.
  • Maintains the base image of all endpoints (software updates, security patches, and driver updates).
  • Manages the securing and updating of all printers, scanners, and MFPs.
  • Creates, deploys, and manages automated software deployments according to the change management process.
  • Assists in managing, monitoring, controlling, and reporting on software and hardware lifecycles.
  • Manages endpoint hardening standards with CIS benchmarks.
  • Manages endpoint encryption.
  • Assists with creating, modifying, and managing Group Policies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and analysis of endpoint behavior including hardware, drivers, BIOS, operating System, productivity software, browsers, and local and group policy.
  • Completes assigned support tickets.
  • Performs routine system or user administrative tasks such as system specification changes or the addition, change, or deletion of employees on the company s various systems and networks. Ensures necessary documentation is attained and properly authorized for such requests. Originates and maintains system and user files.
  • Participates as a member of the company s incident response team in the event of a technology emergency or breach in confidential information.
  • Works with vendors and various outside professional information technology organizations in the maintenance and purchase of endpoint equipment, software, and accessories.
  • Assists in special projects and tasks for the department under the direction of the Information Systems Manager.
  • Responds to inquiries and refers issues to the appropriate department or person, and exhibits the necessary follow through with customers and/or staff involved.
  • Maintains basic knowledge and awareness of financial industry technical status and trends.
  • Prepares a variety of routine and special reports as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a 4-year college or technical trade school and a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training. Work related experience should consist of a technical background in information resources, products, or services.
  • Bachelor s Degree preferred.
  • Position requires the employee to work primarily out of the corporate office located at 3 MacArthur, Santa Ana, CA
  • 2-3 years of experience configuring and using Microsoft Intune for software deployment, patch management, mobile device management, and imaging.
  • 2-3 years of experience configuring and using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager with Windows Defender Application Control.
  • Experience with AD Group Policies.
  • Experience with Microsoft BitLocker.
  • Experience with CIS compliance.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices.
  • Advance skills in voice and data communications, troubleshooting techniques, user and software support including but not limited to desktop applications and network administration.
  • Advance skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience, knowledge, and training in information technology department operations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring of, and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal), Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio, and percent including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
  • Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
