Job Summary

This senior IT executive role is instrumental in leading IT as a business-oriented organization. This position provides leadership for the cross-functional management across business technology solutions and the enterprise. The position oversees the IT functions of governance, marketing/communications, performance management, organizational change management, service management, training, supplier management, finance and budgeting, and processes and methodologies.

Essentials Functions
  • Partners with the CIO and business technology leadership team, providing broad insight to IT domains and capabilities in support of enterprise wide business decisions.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, methodologies, and governance - as well as performance management frameworks and metrics ensuring the IT organization delivers value to the enterprise
  • Establishes and implements continuous improvement programs for the IT organization
  • Responsible for directing the preparation, review and consolidation of IT finance and budgeting
  • Directs risk evaluation and compliance management processes
  • Responsible for developing and managing strategic vendor and supplier relationships
  • Oversees IT workforce management including the sourcing, training, and development of staff
  • Supervisory responsibility for a staff of 15-20 team members. Delegates tasks, manages workflow, and plans staffing requirements. Responsible for salary administration. Interviews candidates and makes hiring decisions, writes and conducts performance reviews, provides ongoing feedback, and manages disciplinary actions. Coaches and mentors staff; provides development opportunities. Ensures that teams and individuals understand roles and responsibilities via clear communication of goals and objectives. Meets with individual team members on performance measurements, goals, and evaluations.

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
  • Demonstrated successful track record of design, development, and completion of critical, complex projects in area of functional expertise.
  • Deep experience in Service Management (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Continuity) with extensive background in the ServiceNow platform
  • Demonstrated success of establishing, managing, and maintaining effective working relationships at the senior management level, internal and external to an organization.
  • Demonstrated competency in executing strategic plans for the department
  • Ability to learn the needs of a wide range of employees while driving team performance, monitoring results and appropriately allocating resources
  • Experience and knowledge of functional tools and technologies
  • Progressive experience in leading employees in multiple locations, and significant experience developing and implementing solutions

Typical Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced degree preferred

Typical Range of Experience
  • 12+ years in IT and business/industry
  • A minimum of five to seven years of leadership responsibility
  • Experience in large, complex, enterprise organization managing cross-functional teams and projects
