Job Description - QA Automation Engineer
QA Automation Engineer Contract To Hire - W2 Remote PST In this Automation Quality Engineering role, you will lead creation of automated testing of User Interface and APIs for software applications. You will select tools, implement automated test plans using Object-Oriented programming to produce traceable, Pass-or-Fail results with high percentage coverage of Features, Test Cases, and common Use Cases. Responsibilities- Build and maintain an Automated Testing framework including automated UI testing, using existing tools (including Selenium, using C#), from zero to near full regression coverage for frontend and backend.
- Design and implement test and test strategies to achieve CI/CD test coverage.
- Communicating with business representatives, technical teams, developers, quality engineers, and management to achieve and represent accurate testing results.
- Query databases to evaluate the data behind the API for accuracy.
- Design and develop automated test cases for UI and APIs including functional, regression, smoke, and integration tests.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Working in accordance with deadlines for delivery of products or software.
- Perform thorough automated regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Reporting results from automated testing in a clear, actionable manner (Go, No-Go) manner with traceable detail of Test scenarios covered and other pertinent testing details.
- Extensive experience with developing and running automated test scripts, creating testing utilities, and effective results reporting using Selenium/WebDriver.
- Ability to organize separation of concerns, both in test code and in business processes.
- Object-Oriented programming experience working knowledge of quality assurance and acceptance testing methodologies
- Ability to measure the test effectiveness utilizing metrics, monitor the progress, and report the results of both automated and manual test efforts by fostering transparency and accountability.
- Experience testing APIs with SOAP/REST tools (ex. Postman, RESTclient, et cetera).
- Capacity to learn new skills quickly and adopt effective testing methodologies.
- Experience in CI/CD (ex. Jenkins).
- API performance testing.
- AzureDevOps Pipeline creation and usage.
- Experience testing in AWS cloud environment is a plus.
- Experience testing in Azure cloud environment is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and running SQL Queries.
