Job Summary

We're hiring a Senior Functional Analyst to enhance and support the Record to Report (RTR) track for the company's ERP system. Within the Enterprise Application Services group, the Oracle Business Process Management (BPM) team is responsible for continuously improving internal customers' processes through technology-aided solutions, delivering enhancements for enterprise applications, and providing functional expertise for Oracle applications during project initiatives at First American.

As Senior Oracle EBS Functional Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for:
  • Implement, enhance and support multiple Oracle ERP core finance applications: Accounts Receivable, Advanced Collections, Cash Management, and General Ledger
  • Perform system requirements analysis, functional system design, integrated testing, and maintenance of the financial applications
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts, Process Owners and End Users to gather and analyze business requirements
  • Perform Fit-Gap analysis and perform solution design
  • Support configurations, customization, reports and interfaces, QA and User Acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Develop test scenarios and test scripts in the impacted solutions to facilitate appropriate functional and integration testing
  • Consult and partner with Business users to understand business needs and design and implement solutions
  • Closely collaborate with onshore and offshore functional and technical teams to ensure that quality deliverables are delivered in a timely manner
  • Interact with application vendors such as Oracle on Service Requests
  • Conduct/contribute in QA and UAT for assigned projects
  • Create and maintain system/application documentation (requirements, processes, procedures, test cases)
  • Provides status updates to the management of planned deliverables

As the ideal candidate, you will have the following knowledge to be successful in this role:

Required:
  • Strong Business Analyst skills with experience in Oracle Receivables and Oracle GL modules
  • Oracle Receivables:
    • AR configuration
    • AR Invoicing and Receipt Process
    • AR Reconciliation and Reporting
    • AR Close
    • Integration with other modules
    • AR Refund
    • AR/AP Netting Process
    • AR-EBTax Integration
  • Oracle GL:
    • GL Configuration
    • GL Reporting
    • GL Close
    • Security and Cross Val Rules
    • GL Data feed to external systems
Preferred:
  • Oracle Cash Management
  • Advanced Collections
  • Basic SQL Knowledge

Job Qualifications
  • BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent degree required.
  • 6-8 years of experience with Oracle financials
  • Prior experience as an Oracle Functional Analyst during implementation phase including application configuration and troubleshooting
  • Minimum of two Oracle EBS AR Implementations required using version R12
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively define business and technical parameters as well as work with end users
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex cross functional problems, quickly grasp concepts related to industry specific design/development and articulate them in a clear and concise way to foster project team collaboration
  • Excellent meeting facilitation and presentation skills, with best in class customer service orientation and multi-tasking ability
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with proven attention to detail
  • Self-directed and proactive approach to tackling problems and providing solutions
  • Agile experience is preferred
  • Functional Automation experience is preferred
  • Must be a team-player, with positive work ethic
  • Exposure to Oracle cloud financials would be a plus
