We are looking for a new team member to join our award-winning landscape design/build team. Our firm is headquartered in Montecito and we specializes in upscale residential projects.
This exciting position requires a self-motivated individual who would like to contribute his/her talents as a landscape designer to a creative and energetic team. Duties include but are not limited to all aspects and phases of the landscape design/build process from site planning through construction.
Duties include:
Develop landscape plans from conceptual through preliminary through final, and construction detail plans
Project management: prepare timelines, critical path, materials schedules, etc.
Field work:
o Site analysis measure, map, photograph, sketch site features, etc.
o Materials sourcing locate materials, photograph, collect samples, etc.
o Construction oversight site visits, meetings with clients, subcontractors, clients' agents, etc.
Interface with ALL local agencies
Interface with other professionals such as architect, engineer, land surveyor, etc.
o Local codes, agency requirements, etc.
o Source project materials, vendors, subcontractors, allied professionals, etc.
Skills Required:
Hand graphics
Strong AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks
Creative with Strong design skills a must
In-depth knowledge of regional plant materials
Proficient at site mapping, preparing site plans from field measurements
Project management: Budgets, timelines, critical path, materials trafficking, scheduling
Excellent organizational skills
Communicates professionally and effectively orally and written
Strong leadership skills and a Team player area a must
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
Self-motivated, upbeat, forward-thinking, eager to learn, coachable, trainable, With a "can-do attitude"
Complete, Accurate and Excellent work required
Driven with the ability to meet deadlines with a positive attitude
Works well in a high stress and fast- paced environment
Knowledge of typical construction practices
Sales are an Essential skill needed
Must have a clean DMV
