Opal restaurant and bar is seeking a host with great people skills, and the ability to handle very busy situations with efficiency and grace while remaining calm, rhythmic and composed. The job also incorporates bussing, and food expediting, and is accordingly compensated more highly than just a host position. We are a high quality, locals-oriented restaurant that is often high-volume. Our cuisine is similar to fusion, incorporating culinary influences from around the world with locally sourced ingredients. We call it Eclectic California Cuisine, and we have a craft cocktail program and extensive wine list that supports the eclectic nature of our menu.
Our approach is one that emphasizes seeking positive solutions, and we are looking for someone who operates in that way both with guests and staff.
