Part time back office assistant needed for Nephrology practice in Santa Barbara.
Medical Office Assistant, some experience a plus, will train, full time or part time
Hours: Monday thru Thursday 9 am 4 pm, flexible
No experience necessary but applicant needs to be willing to learn and have some computer experience. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Position is responsible for checking in new and returning patient, posting patient data and information, setting appointments/ confirming future appointments and follow up on patient and doctor request. Long-term commitment is ideal.
Essential job fictions:
Answer the telephones in a in a friendly manner.
Take down messages and distribute them timely.
Must be a team player.
Problem solving.
Positive and professional attitude.
Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
Multi-tasking.
Ability to work independently.
Perform other task and duties assigned.
Prep charts and prior authorizations as needed.
