EH+Y, an integrated marketing and advertising agency in Santa Barbara, CA is looking for a print/digital production manager.
Are you organized with the ability to wear many hats? Are you meticulous by nature? Do you use bleed and trim in non-violent contexts? Does the s p acing in this sen tence physically make you ill? If so, then you may be a great candidate for this role.
Key Duties Include:
Establish project specifications, estimates and delivery schedules.
Ensure all resources meet the requirements for each project.
Proof all stages of each job.
Be fanatical about quality control from copy to color to reproduction overall.
Maintain relationships with vendors, obtain bids and attend press checks as needed.
Preflight and upload all ads to publications and all jobs to printers.
Provide shipping information and POD’s on all jobs.
Maintain the Creative Archive, enforce naming convention protocol and file archiving processes.
Create Production job folders to include estimates, approvals and all critical information.
Maintain print sample archive.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with vendors and internal account teams.
Strong computer skills and hands-on understanding of the latest Adobe Creative Suite.
Thorough understanding of pre-press and printing processes.
A creative point of view, a “can-do” attitude, always with an eye to potential system improvements.
3-5 years production background.
