Skate One Corp, an industry leading skateboard manufacturer, is seeking a highly motivated hands-on Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to enable our company to continue to manufacture state of the art products in the USA. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Use Lean Six Sigma tools to identify, prioritize, and eliminate wastes in the manufacturing and distribution processes.

Lead Lean initiatives such as 5S and Value Stream Mapping.

Generate models using company records, databases, plant layouts, and time studies to improve production performance in lead time, efficiency, quality, and safety.

Develop, improve, and maintain new and existing semi-automated equipment from conceptual design to implementation.

Including:

o Specify motion and control components.

o Design using 3D CAD software.

o Prepare 2D blueprints for machining of parts.

o Develop electro-pneumatic logic.

o Generate wiring and plumbing diagrams.

o Program Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, and Motor Driving components.

Suggest capital equipment expenditures through research, testing, and ROI calculations. Manage schedule, utility readiness, operator training, and process qualification.

Collaboratively work with R&D and Production to ensure readiness of tooling, processes, procedures, and inspection criteria for new products.

Develop Preventative Maintenance Plans, Operating Procedures, Safety Training, and Work Standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

BS (or higher) in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

5-10 years practical Manufacturing Process Engineering experience.

Capability to design, spec, and implement pneumatic and electronic motion control systems with minimal supervision.

Able to read and write electrical and pneumatic schematics.

Skilled with 3D/2D CAD software: Solidworks and Vectorworks preferred.

Experience with PLC/HMI Programming (Allen Bradley preferred).

Strong working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.

Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.

Fluent in MS office suite.

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

Self-starter capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Performs other related duties as required.

Must successfully pass drug screen and background check
