Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara is an organization dedicated to supporting families, creating opportunities, and fostering belonging. The Assistant Program Manager helps direct our Monday through Friday program for adults with developmental disabilities and delays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We seek a well-organized individual experienced in the human services field, who can assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive services and supports for the participants in the program.
You will coordinate efforts of all staff in carrying out their assigned duties, and help train as well as evaluate performance. This position is also principal in ensuring compliance with HHS Title 22 and Title 17 regulations, as well as safety and health rules. You will develop and maintain a good working relationship and good communication with co-workers, participants and their families and/or caretakers, all outside agencies and service providers. This position is a member of the management team and will participate actively in the direction of the program in line with the strategic plan set forth by the Board of Directors.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have a B.A. in Psychology, Rehabilitation or related field, or a combination of education and experience in human services. At least four years paid, full-time employment in the developmental disabilities field, and at least two years in a supervisory/managerial capacity preferred. Must be able to pass criminal records background clearance by the DOJ, and have a clean driving record. Must be eligible to work legally in the United States.
