Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the Lompoc area looking for work/experience as a Lab Technician. This position is temporary, lasting 3 months long, and it is full time with the hours from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The pay rate for this position is $16-$22. Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the lab by analyzing geological samples
- Verify material conformance to the appropriate quality requirements
- Collect samples
- Prepare and use lab apparatus and other testing equipment
- Other tasks as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience/Education of Chemistry applications and principles required
- Chemistry/General Lab experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong attention to detail
- 1+ years working as a lab technician/relevant lab experience or 2+ years of education involving lab work, including working with lab equipment and geological samples (Preferred)
- Ability to properly communicate through both oral and written communication
- Ability to properly prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently, with little to no instruction, and on a team
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high pressure environment, while maintaining a high level of quality
