What You Will Do

Carpe Data is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join a talented product development team. This position is solutions based with a strong emphasis on product quality. Duties will include testing software for problems, interfacing with developers, documenting any issues, and ensuring errors are corrected. A great QA analyst will find and report issues with software before it is released to the end user and have high integrity for quality.

This role will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to develop innovative products in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have an interest in software development, technology, and the testing process, as well as exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

-Learn and master the inner workings of a full enterprise product suite

-Test software against stated requirements and carefully document results. Suggest corrections or improvements

-Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable

-Receive reports of production bugs and quickly take action to investigate or resolve

-Troubleshoot potential software issues, look for workarounds, and deliver this information to our internal team members in a clear and concise manner

-Work with internal teams (e.g. developers, analysts, and product managers) to identify system requirements

-Attend regular meetings to proactively engage and collaborate with internal teams to drive product quality and operational planning

-Execute regression testing in coordination with release schedule

-Automate tests, and deployment

Our Ideal Candidate

-Bachelors degree (Computer-related field preferable)

-3+ years relevant work experience in QA, Data Analysis or other analytical roles

-Familiarity writing SQL database queries

-Familiarity in UI/UX best practices and testing

-High attention to detail: ability to spot flaws and inconsistencies.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Highly collaborative and comfortable working closely with developers and other departments at Carpe Data

-Love for good software quality at all levels - from behavior-driven tests to overall product experience

-A technology enthusiast. Excited to work in a fast-paced development environment, and eager to work with new technologies in a rapidly growing company

-Self-motivated to explore and undertake new projects
