Job Description

The Cybersecurity Americas BDM provides leadership and management oversight toward the execution of strategies and tactics for the Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy program in the Americas with the goal of increasing demand and proliferation of PANW technology across academic and technical communities.

In addition, the Americas BDM will provide support and collaborate with management and other organizations responsible for driving proliferation and sales of PANW technology. A successful BDM will continue to explore and create other paths to drive proliferation in close alignment with the academic course offerings, technical certifications and PANW company objectives including social responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the creation of global and regional strategies for the Academy.
  • Develop plans to obtain in-region growth against key objectives and budget.
  • Establish key metrics, track and drive those metrics.
  • Oversee aspects of marketing demand generation, enrollment, support, compliance, and continuous management of academies in-region.
  • Drives potential new business initiatives for expanding our cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Ensure curricula are mapped to national/regional/local guidelines to maximize adoption in-region.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders including academies, students, instructors, government (national, state, local) and non-government organizations to help drive program strategy and proliferation.
  • Plan, organize and execute events for the academic community such as competitions, conferences, etc.
  • Work with other company stakeholders (i.e., sales, university relations, CSR, etc.) to ensure academy engagement is in line with regional strategy.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) preferable in business and related Cybersecurity / IT education discipline; MBA or MS preferred.
  • 7+ years’ management with relevant technical education industry experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience managing all aspects of the Academy or related program.
  • Experience with building and extending Academic programs from concepts to scale.
  • A solid understanding of IT or Cybersecurity education in all academic markets (secondary, post-secondary, career colleges, etc.).
  • Business development and account management experience (technical education industry preferred).
  • A good understanding of marketing and social media principles and strategies particularly as they apply to students and education markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, able to monitor activities, analyze data, identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Ability to travel when COVID restrictions lift.
