Palo Alto Networks is looking for a data professional for the role of Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager. You will lead your team in defining, developing and delivering Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions for your internal customers. You will use your business insight and technical knowledge in transforming complex data into clear actionable visual insights for strategic decision making. The ideal candidate will be able to manage/lead complex projects, build relationships, recruit and mentor staff, and possess advanced analytical skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical/non-technical audiences. This role reports to the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics.

Your Impact

  • Work with a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and Analysts in developing and maintaining rich, interactive, visually striking graphics and data visualizations that provide actionable insights

  • Lead deep dive discussions with Business stakeholders, understand business strategy, provide consultative business analysis, and leverage technical skills to recommend BI solutions that drive insight and actions

  • Clearly communicate and drive discussions on data, insights, context, and implications with your Business stakeholders

  • Provide recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the operational and quality metrics, and own the design, development, and maintenance of such metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards to drive key business decisions

  • Define and manage project deliverables, timelines, and dependencies for team members and stakeholders

  • Design, implement and support platforms that provide teams ad-hoc access to large datasets

  • Standardize data and report consumption across all teams within the Global Customer Services organization

  • Responsible for the integrity of the information by ensuring it is accurate, complete, valuable, and visualized in the best format that is easily digestible by your Business Stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Business partners to drive adoption of the reports and dashboards

The Team

As a part of the Global Customer Support/Services Operations team, you'll be leading your team in using data to help the Business in making informed business process decisions. Your team will work cross-functionally with other teams and Executives to perform analyses and build data visualizations, so Business stakeholders can quickly and accurately gain insights on issues and opportunities and be able to take actions. Your team will be involved from project inception to report design through to data delivery, ensuring that your reports are delivering high-quality and relevant data so that our business can grow intelligently.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent (MBA a plus) or similar experience. A concentration in data analytics desired

  • 8+ years experience in BI function as a data engineer/analyst or related role and 3+ years leading and growing a high performing analytical team, preferably within the relevant domains of Customer Success and Customer Experience

  • Solid understanding of Palo Alto Networks product line

  • Deep understanding of Customer Services Systems & Tools, such as SFDC, Gainsight

  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to frame business issues and apply data analysis to support real-time decision making

  • High tolerance for ambiguity and proven track record of managing complex BI projects, and successfully driving change and delivering results in rapidly growing technical services & support environments

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with solid interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams

  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills including talent for conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations

  • Experience with Enterprise software applications, such as SFDC and Gainsight

  • Proficient in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Einstein, and industry knowledge of the technology trends in this space. Experience with web analytics a plus

  • Adherence to standard practices and use of version control tools such as GitHub

  • Experience using agile methodologies and tracking tools such as JIRA

  • Willingness to learn and stay up to date with new software and tools

  • Strong commitment to data governance and security
