Volt is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Santa Clara, CA

Assures the procurement and inventory management of life sciences production and/or non-manufacturing materials, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives. As a member of Order Fulfillment and Supply Chain organization, supporting the Genomics business group, the person filling this position will be responsible for the following:•Meet all required ISO and regulatory requirements, including supplier evaluation, reevaluation, and approvals.•Effectively work with immediate team members and with cross site / functions as required.•Material sourcing for existing products and new product introduction (NPI) projects•Support new part creation and additions in SAP and/or Agile•Purchase requisition creation and changes, including material releases, in an accurate and timely manner•Negotiating cost of materials, and purchase terms and conditions as needed•Monitor supplier performance and take appropriate action with suppliers, including issuing of SCARs, to resolve issues in timely manner•Support proactive approach to material disruption issues and escalate as needed•Disposition of non-conforming materials through management of material returns, reworks (re-qualify), and/or obtaining timely credits•Working with Quality, Engineering, Production, R&D to ensure appropriate and timely material availability, correct documentation, material specifications, NCMRs, and Certificates of Analysis/ComplianceKnowledge of Agile, SAP, Ariba and Procurement / Material management digital solutions•Leads procurement projects requiring coordination with other functions, third partiesDetermines and develops approaches to assignmentsBachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent:•Three years plus of relevant experience in procurement•Requires general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures to accomplish job•Demonstration of excellent communication and teamwork skills•The ability to determines and develops approaches to assignments•Demonstrated ability to solves a broad range of procurement-related problems of varying scope and complexity•Ability to work and manage multiple tasks in an interrupt driven environment•SAP experience (including Ariba and/or Agile a plus)•Working experience with software applications including Word, Excel, andPowerPoint, Jabber, WebEx (or similar applications)•Familiarization of chemicals and lab commodities and supply base
