Your Career

Are you an exceptional Principal Frontend Developer with a passion for developing clean, efficient, and performant user interfaces?

Our Data Platform and Visualization group is looking for a technical UI lead who can architect and build visualizations that provide customers insights into network security activity. We have large amounts of datasets in our data lake built on a public cloud. We would like to perform analytics on this data and derive correlations, so as to surface concerning data patterns and user behaviors. This is an opportunity to use both your technical expertise and your passion for delivering business value, by being part of an org tackling real world problems leveraging the largest data platform in the security domain. You will drive the frontend initiatives and information architecture to deliver the best user experience for our products. You will influence the direction of our technology as well as mentor other members of your team.

Your Impact

  • Work with other frontend developers, designers, and backend engineers to plan, implement and deploy sophisticated user interfaces using modern CSS and JS.

  • Participate in the design of new features with product and UX experts.

  • Pro-actively design and improve all aspects of the UI, collaborate closely with team members to produce extraordinary user experiences.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 8 - 12 years hands-on experience as a technical build engineer, release engineer, DevOps engineer or similar role
  • Outstanding critical thinking, organizational, collaboration and communication skills. A dependable self-starter who takes ownership
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux based build environments required
  • Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with build tools such as Make, Graddle, or Maven
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages (Bash or Python preferred)
  • Proven experience implementing build pipelines in tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience in build environments that leveraged Perforce or Bitbucket (Git) desirable
  • Knowledge and experience with repository managers such as Artifactory desirable
  • Knowledge and experience with package managers such as rpm desirable
  • Experience with products in an appliance form factor desirable
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent required (M.S. Preferred)

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with developing software on public cloud infrastructure
  • Understanding of network security fundamentals and network layers
  • Understanding of authentication/authorization frameworks
