Job Description
Your CareerAs a Senior Director Demand Generation at Palo Alto Networks, you will be responsible for creating the global campaign and content strategy for Hardware and Software Firewalls, and 5G Security.
You will orchestrate the plan with global teams, identifying the marketing mix, leading a team of (a) campaign managers who will develop all the integrated campaign components, and (b) content marketers who will develop the content to fuel your campaigns. The role will be measured against the ability to generate awareness and pipeline through lead capture, nurture, and the ongoing creation of new business opportunities for the Firewall business unit. Working closely with product marketing, your success will be tied to ensuring that Palo Alto Networks continues to be seen as the clear leader in cybersecurity and innovation.
Your ImpactCollaborate with the Product Marketing team to develop campaign themes that support the product messaging and reach the right audience segments for Hardware and Software Firewalls. Iterate and refine those messages for specific personas based on results.
Lead Campaign Managers to define the program mix, global campaign calendar and required resources to execute campaigns
Lead Content Marketing Managers to define the content plan, mapped to the buyer's journey and aligned to our target personas
Work with the Creative Services team to develop campaign concepts, messaging, taglines, and campaign deliverables for demand generation, awareness, and supporting programs
Collaborate with Marketing Data Science and Operations teams to monitor results and campaign execution, from messaging to audience targeting, based on progress against goals
Coordinate with Field Marketing teams across North America, Japan Asia Pacific (JAPAC), and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to deliver on an integrated demand plan that includes both globally and locally executed programs
Coordinate with the Corporate Communications and Social Marketing teams to time campaigns appropriately for effective go to market launches
Work directly with sales enablement, product marketing, channel, and field marketing to ensure campaign tactics are exceeding goals
Continually track and report on campaign and program metrics, conduct ROI analysis to determine the effectiveness of all marketing programs, and optimize campaign efforts accordingly
Regularly update Firewall and Executive leadership on campaign plans, program deliverables, and schedules
Qualifications
Your ExperienceExperienced, results-driven, flexible, and creative marketing demand-gen leader
12+ years of demand-gen campaign, content, and/or marketing program management experience
Experience building global integrated marketing campaigns for a B2B technology company. Cybersecurity or network security is highly preferred.
Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, be able to lead and work as part of a team
Successful track record of executing programs with cross-functional virtual teams
High energy self-starter with a can-do attitude, ability to learn quickly, work in a hyper-growth environment, set strategy, and get down in the weeds to get the job done
Experience with digital strategy including, ad-tech, landing pages, nurture etc.
Great intuition for bold, sharp and creative messaging to strategically guide promotional content (landing pages, ads, social media posts, etc.) and the content mix needed to support campaigns
Extensive hands-on experience with marketing automation and program collaboration tools: Salesforce, Marketo, WorkFront, Google-Suite, etc.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, MBA preferred
