Your CareerWe are looking for a leader for our global Cybersecurity Academy program. The mission is an exciting and lofty one and we are looking for a highly motivated individual willing to embrace the opportunity to drive the change towards launching new innovative programs that build cybersecurity knowledge and skills for students entering the workforce or changing careers.This role is a member of the Global Enablement leadership team and reports to the Sr. Director of Global Enablement. The position is based in the U.S. (preferably in the Bay Area, CA). The Global Enablement organization provides world-class training, certification, digital learning, and education products on general cybersecurity and our technology that help address the world's greatest security challenges with continuous innovation that seizes the latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, analytics, automation, and orchestration.Your ImpactIn this role you will lead the global Cybersecurity Academy program team, setting strategy, establishing partnerships, and building learning programs with academic institutions and students worldwide. The key outcomes for the program are to: scale and optimize the program, show year on year growth of students successfully completing our academy courses and getting certified, recruiting new schools that focus on underrepresented minorities, and partner with sales teams to enable product sales.The TeamOur Cybersecurity Academy team at Palo Alto Networks is passionate about education and helping others to be safe in the digital world and launch a successful career in cybersecurity.You will be part of a growing, passionate, and fun team with an opportunity to work on challenging and exciting projects – centered on what we believe is one of the most significant mission statements in the world.As the global Cybersecurity Academy manager, you will be:Sourcing, developing, and establishing Academy partnerships with secondary and postsecondary academic institutions seeking to incorporate cybersecurity into their diploma, certificate, bachelors and/or masters degree programs

Crafting the strategy to both broaden and deepen our reach and branding into the education space

Creating innovative learning initiatives that tap into the way young adults, and adults learn

Aligning closely with Palo Alto Networks sales teams to socialize the program and ensure the Academy program is known by customers, partners, employees alike

Overseeing all processes (i.e. onboarding, instructor readiness, support, etc.) and documentation (i.e. Program Guide, Agreements, etc.) are documented and kept up to date

Driving the following Key Performance Indicators thru the end of July 2021:

recruit 160 new academies

increase # of underrepresented minority schools by 15% Q/Q

30k students to complete one or more academy courses

300 academy students to achieve PCCET certification

325 academy students to achieve PCNSA certification

Provide weekly and quarterly reporting on above KPIs

Increasing program visibility both internally and externally and marketing a driving growth in the program

Working cross functionally with other organizations - both within Global Enablement as well as across Palo Alto Networks (i.e. CSR, University Relations, Sales, etc.) - to evangelize and leverage the program to achieve company goals

Your ExperienceMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or other related discipline. Master’s degree preferred

Experience teaching in secondary and/or post-secondary education preferred

5-7 years leading and managing a global technical program team

Experience in managing an academy program is highly desirable

Experience liaising with faculty, department heads, university presidents, Ministers of Education, and other high-level government officials

Experience managing a sizable budget

Experience with leading in a fast-past, growing, and changing environment

Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for the purpose of evangelizing the program and providing executive level presentations

A working knowledge GSuite (GMail, Docs, Slides, Sheets)
