Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud Services)

Job Description

As a Network Engineer, you will be part of a team that is responsible for our private and public cloud network infrastructure. You are passionate about infrastructure that is focused on simplicity and scale. In our hybrid environment, you will help build and support our ever growing footprint. • Optimize reliability, performance, supportability and security of our production infrastructure.

• Work closely with our development and SRE teams to implement private/public cloud environments.

• Develop capacity plans for new and existing infrastructure.

• Help develop our monitoring, backup and failover testing strategies.

• Identify and assist in implementing monitoring to ensure health, performance and security of our production and non-production cloud infrastructure.

• Act as an escalation point and mentor for our Tier 1 team members.

• Provide technical input in reviewing architecture, policies and procedures.

• Participate in and review procedures for change and configuration management in production environments

• Performance analysis and optimization

• Participate on call rotation to handle escalated production issues

• Experience troubleshooting stateful packet flows and common network issues

Qualifications

• Strong understanding with real world experience with BGP

• History of deploying overlay network technologies such as eVPN/VxLAN

• Highly experienced with public cloud providers such as GCP and AWS

• Solid working knowledge of Open vSwitch (OVS)

• Network engineering and security proficiency with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls

• Adept at working in hybrid private/public cloud environments

• Proficiency with Juniper MX series routers

• Proficiency with Cisco and Arista CLI

• Comfortable operating in a Linux environment

• 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a revenue generating production environment
