Role: Software Test & Validation Engineer IILocation: Santa Clara, CAVerification and Validation Software Engineer II
Summary:The Verification and Validation Software Engineer II will debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action. Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Help the automation team to implement, enhance and maintain an end-to-end test automation framework for API and UI testing. Ensure quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.Minimum Qualitifcation:Minimum of five (5) years directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious experience working as a tester in an Agile software development environmentDemonstrates success for technical proficiency, engineering creativity, collaboration with others and independent thoughtExpert knowledge of engineering principle and conceptsExperience developing and utilizing automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JUnit/TestNG, Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.) and experience writing automated tests using JavaScript/TypeScript (preferred), JavaDevelops and uses company design practices as applied to projectsUnderstands and applies industry practices and benchmarksUses company practices for SW integration and test at the expert levelPreferred Qualification:Experience working in the regulated medical device environment, following Design Control procedures (such as IEC 62304 FDA 21 CFR 820, etc.)Bash/Shell scripting experience is a plusVacancy expired!
