Job Description and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Staff Development Analog Electrical Engineer to develop ultrafast laser technology. This position, in the Control Systems Group in Santa Clara, is responsible for developing electronics and software for laser systems in 3 business units.Specific duties will include:- Technical development of laser control electronics for high powered industrial lasers, ultrashort pulse research lasers, and low noise imaging lasers
- Working with Physicists, Optical Engineers and Software Engineers to develop unique FPGA and embedded controller solutions for new laser products and applications
- Solve challenging technical problems as part of a team
- Working with contract manufacturers to produce and test control electronics
- Providing on-going product support to manufacturing, marketing, sales, and service
- Requires BSEE and fifteen (15) years of experience
- High-speed analog interface design
- Analog filter design
- Design experience with photocells
- PCBA schematic capture
- 2 significant projects in low noise power system design
- Some transmission line and filter design experience is a plus
