We’re looking for a Sr. Staff Product Security Engineer to join our InfoSec team. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers from the various products teams within Palo Alto Networks to lead and embed security in their development practices . You should be familiar with security at all levels of the software, hardware, and network stack. Intellectual curiosity and an excitement for the challenges of securing complex, massive systems are a must. You should value simplicity and usability as well as security and work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment.

Your Impact

  • You will drive effective integration and adoption of best practices, latest methods and techniques in identifying insecure configurations and Infrastructure issues

  • Inform choices through a security lens for the entire development lifecycle, including design, coding ,development, QA , security testing, and release

  • Responsible for driving innovation in security

  • Act as technical spokesperson for Product Security initiatives among senior engineers and architects

  • Advocate for best-security practices to engineering organization

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 5 + years of experience in cybersecurity in general, advanced level experience in Cloud Security , Infrastructure Security, Security benchmarks, and automation

  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud (GCP , AWS and Azure) and in designing, building and securing scalable cloud infrastructure

  • 3+ years in container-based deployments, Infrastructure-as-code and orchestration tools - Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, EKS

  • 3+ years of scripting experience (Ruby, golang or Python)

  • Experience in CI/CD tools - Gitlab, Jenkins, Bamboo

  • Developed automated security and compliance capabilities in support of DevSecOps processes in a large-scale cloud computing environments

  • Knowledge of SAST tools, Software composition Analysis tools is a plus but not required

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience

Education

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and experience in information / cyber security, computer systems, IT, etc.
